I started this series with a short video of the Mamas that inspire me holding signs that said, "Motherhood is ________" and they filled in the blank. So I thought I would ask my girls what "Motherhood is ________" to them. Dear Kiki and Hippo

When I look at you, I see so much more than a tattered and well worn exterior.  You have been with my girls since day 1. Search and rescue efforts have taken place to recover you at bedtime to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. Motherhood. Successful???

One of my favorite quotes is, ‘Behind every great kid is a Mom who’s pretty sure she’s screwing it all up.’ I believe this is one of the most authentic quotes about motherhood. Mom guilt is a real thing and I do not know a single woman who has not felt this way at some point in her journey, possibly even daily at times. Being a Mom is hard as hell! There are hundreds of thousands of books, blogs, articles, and advice for us moms, but none of them give you the perfect step by step guide on how to do it 100% ‘right’.
